Business description

ED&F Man is a global leader in the trading and distribution of tropical oils (palm oil, palm kernel and coconut oil), fish oil, rubber, latex and feed fat. The tropical oils are used by food manufacturing industries, animal feed, soaps, detergents, cosmetics and by the energy sector. Fish Oil is primarily used in the production of aquaculture feeds but is also utilized by the health food and pharmaceutical industries for its Omega 3 content in addition to other technical applications. Rubber is primarily used by the automotive, aviation and manufacturing sectors while latex is used by manufacturers of health and safety products. We also distribute other vegetable oils and animal fat products to the energy and feed sectors.

We originally expanded into these activities due to the synergies they enjoy with our other activities with respect to ocean freight, storage, and other aspects of liquid logistics.

The spread of our global operations with respect to origination, logistics and distribution provide us with an unique role to service customers and suppliers.
